Dear Bidco Family,
It is with great happiness that we are ending this year 2005 which has been a challenging but an exciting year too for each and every one! It is the year when we went into production in Uganda and our official openings were conducted in Jinja and Kalangala Uganda and the plant there has begun production of fats, oils and soaps on a very strong note using QUALITY WITH A PRICE ADVANTAGE as the motto!Congratulations to the entire Jinja team who have broken all records and have set a new record for themselves in terms of the highest sales ever in the history of Bidco Uganda ltd. I have no doubts that we are well on our way to achieve our goal of grabbing and growing our market share in Uganda and the region around it. In 2006 we are confident of making  excellent strides in all areas! Keep it up and Make It Happen. On the Kalangala Island our teams have also done wonders there and have created a Heaven like place from a place that had nothing on it and that also had no infrastructure at all! They have overcome major hardships which they faced and tackled with a SPIRIT that is admirable and hats off to them all in their march forward. Well done to all of you in Kalangala who are growing the seeds of the future and we are really very proud of you all! We are also proud of those of you in our team in Tanzania who have again had a good year in terms of sales volumes and reach in the Tanzanian markets. They have been able to achieve quite a few landmarks by installing and commissioning various plants including the waste fired boilers and have been continuing to reduce their costs of doing business and focusing on increasing the distribution depth all across. Well done to each and every one of you in Tanzania for a job well done and it is clear that all the records that you have broken and new ones set this year – you shall be breaking them all in the year 2006. We have no doubt that the New President in Tanzania who has promised today to tackle and fight corruption at every level in Government and Business will mean a lot to our business and therefore we are set to achieve major milestones in this coming year in Tanzania! Well done for all the records you also broken in this month and this year! Our teams in Thika have also made us very proud this month as they have also done the best ever in the HISTORY of Bidco and therefore they have broken every single record and therefore SET new records in Sales and production also. Congratulations for raising the bar and achieving it so ably. We close this year 2005 with a very good note to see that again this year is the BEST YEAR EVER in the History of Bidco in terms of sales overall! Our people have been able to implement many major changes in the Kaizen style and we have achieved major breakthroughs in the PULL System everywhere and it is working well in our sales and production has now aligned itself well there too. Our team in Nakuru in Kenya also did us proud this year as they installed the new 36,000mtons plant that doubles their capacity overall in a record time of 30 days flat from stop to start of the new plant and then commissioned it on time! Well done and Congratulations for this wonderful feat to each and every one of you in Nakuru! THIS SHOWS THAT EVERY ONE OF YOU WHO IS READING THIS MAIL IS A LEADER IN THEIR OWN RIGHT AND HAS MADE A CONTRIBUTION TO ALL THIS SUCCESS AND WE WOULD LIKE TO WISH YOU ALL WELL AND A HAPPY HEALTHY LIFE IN 2006. Well overall I would say one thing – WE HAVE ALL DONE WELL THIS YEAR AND THEREFORE EVERYONE PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT AND THANK GOD FOR GIVING US THIS OPPORTUNITY TO BE ALIVE IN THE YEAR AND THAT IS WHY WE WERE ABLE TO ACHIEVE THESE FEATS. ALSO ASK HIM FOR HIS BLESSINGS AS WE BEGIN A NEW YEAR WITH A MUCH BRIGHTER AND HAPPIER AND HEALTHIER YEAR AHEAD!
