Maasaki Imai Visits Bidco

Mr. Maasaki was in Africa to officially launch Kaizen Institute’s Africa operations. Bidco has over the years adopted Kaizen principles of management with a view of improving its efficiency and attaining world class status in all its operations. The Kaizen Institute is a global pioneer in the field of Lean Enterprise Development and Organizational Culture Change. The institute was established in 1985 as a global management consultancy to help western countries to implement Gemba Kaizen. The institute now with a worldwide representation helps organizations to achieve their strategic goals and improve their business performance by eliminating waste. Gemba Kaizen is essentially the concept of continuous improvement at the workplace. Gemba is a Japanese word that means ‘realkplace’ the place where value is actually added, while Kaizen means continuous improvement. This principle is applicable to both the manufacturing and service industry.
