Ingredients:
2 cups Self Raising flour
5 tbsp Bidco Gold Band margarine
½ litre Golden Fry vegetable oil
2 eggs
5 tbsp white sugar
1glass fresh milk |
Method:
- Heat the oil in a frying pan on a low flame for five minutes.
- In a medium-sized bowl mix the flour together with the sugar.
- Blend in the Margarine into the above mixture.
- Beat both eggs into the mixture and blend again until a smooth texture is obtained.
- Add the fresh milk and knead to form a soft dough.
- On a flat surface, roll the dough into a ½ inch thick circle and then cut into desired shapes.
- Fry the dough cuttings in the heated oil for about 2 to 3 minutes until golden.
- Drain any excess oil and place the Mandazi on an open serving dish.
- Serve with a beverage of your choice.
