Bidco is firmly committed to the implementation of an Aids Policy that recognizes the dignity, safety and well being of staff and that does not discriminate with regard to job applications, hiring, advancement, discharge, compensation, training, or other terms, conditions or privileges of employment Believing this goal to be fully achievable: We will be supportive of and make reasonable accommodation for the employee who is medically able to perform his or her job and wishes to do so We will encourage and support all employees and their dependants to access VCT services and know their status. We will continue our efforts to be adequately informed about HIV/AIDS and will make this information available to employees on a regular basis. We will communicate policies and practices to employees in simple, clear and unambiguous terms We will provide employees with sensitive, accurate and up to date information about risk reduction in their personal lives We will provide any HIV infected employee and or their dependants with treatment whenever needed, including ARV’s and lab tests, under our medical policy We will not subject any current or prospective employee to an HIV test against their will, since HIV infection does not necessarily constitute lack of fitness to perform tasks. We will protect the confidentiality of employee’s medical insurance information We will not require HIV screening as part of pre-employment or general workplace physical examinations
